I specialise in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (or PTSD) as well as other trauma-related presenting issues arising from service or employment in conflict zones; accident-related trauma, e.g. road traffic accidents or other transport disasters in the air and at sea; sexual abuse either historic or current ongoing; domestic violence; personal injury through acts of violence, torture or terrorism; kidnapping victims and those who have been illegally detained on cultural or religious grounds.
I use a variety of different treatments, including: Prolonged Exposure Therapy; Imagery Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Emotional Regulation, Safe Place Visualisation, Grounding Technique and Progressive Muscle Relaxation. I offer both short-term/long-term therapy, face-to-face or via Skype Worldwide; Group Therapy and EAP support together with Critical Incident Stress Management Debriefing.
For my General Counselling/Psychotherapy Clients, I mainly work using a Humanistic/Person-Centred approach, but also drawing upon Cognitive, Integrative, Solution-Focused and Transactional Analysis therapies.
